Information on the 2001 Minnesota State Tax Bill and its Impact on the NRP
The recently concluded 2001 session of the Minnesota State Legislature produced tax system reforms that will have a tremendous impact on the funding stream that has been used to support the NRP. As a result, the City of Minneapolis has established a NRP Community Development Work Team to identify strategies that will enable the city to continue its commitment to community development and the NRP. The members of this work team are: NRP Director Bob Miller, City Coordinator Kathleen O'Brien, MCDA Executive Director Steve Cramer, Planning Director Chuck Ballentine, and Finance Director Pat Born. While the work team has produced no official report to date, below you will find documents that have been prepared by the NRP and the MCDA to provide some background information on how the recent tax reforms directly impact the funding stream used to support the NRP. Please continue to check the NRP News section for updates from the work team. |
