During this time the program invested in developing and implementing neighborhood action plans for every neighborhood in the city of Minneapolis. Thousands of Minneapolis residents participated over it's lifetime and thousands more benefited over it's activities. This site is now an historical reference to this program.
Eight Candidates file November 17th NRP Policy Board Neighborhood Representative Election

October 3, 2011 - Eight candidates have filed for election to the NRP Policy Board to be a Neighborhood Representative. The election is scheduled for Thursday, November 17th. Neighborhoods are now identifying an elector and alternate to vote on their behalf in this election. A voter's guide listing the candidates is now available as well as a elector registration form.

Tree Trust Helps Bring Back Tree Canopy in Tornado-Damaged North Side
September 7, 2011 - Along with damaging many homes and businesses on the North Side, the May 22 tornado knocked down thousands of trees. Now, a local nonprofit is helping to restore the urban forest in the disaster area by offering 300 trees at low cost or no cost.

Minneapolis & Saint Paul Home Tour April 30 & May 1
April 21, 2011 - Thirty-eight homes in Minneapolis and 17 in Saint Paul, 55 total, will be open during the 24th annual Minneapolis & Saint Paul Home Tour. The free, self-guided tour Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, 1-5 p.m., gives homeowners inspiration and ideas on how to improve their homes.

Minneapolis Neighborhoods: Keep Working on NRP and Stay Tuned
December 29, 2010 - Recent actions by the Minneapolis Mayor and City Council point to a rocky future for dedicated neighborhood funds. On December 14, as part of the approval process for the 2011 Budget, the City Council adopted a Staff Direction indicating that the City intends to go to the State Legislature to eliminate the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Policy Board and program and secure City control of NRP funds that have been committed to neighborhoods but are not yet spent.
